Description
A former Metropolitan Police officer who was exposed as one of Britain's most prolific sex offenders will be jailed for attacking a dozen women over a period of 18 years.
David Carrick's 'truly disgusting' crimes forced the Met to apologize after the duty officer admitted to 24 counts of rape, along with charges of sexual assault, controlling and coercive behavior and false imprisonment. The 48-year-old will be sentenced over the course of two days at Southwark Crown Court, a process which Deputy Commissioner Barbara Gray says will provide further details about Carrick's "cruel and abusive" offences.
