Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced this in his radio address "Mann Ki Baat".
"As a tribute to the great freedom fighter, it has been decided that the Chandigarh airport will now be named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh", PM Modi said in his address.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann welcomed this announcement as this was pending from years and every Punjabi wanted this airport to be named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
