Introduction
Aerion Corporation announced a supersonic business jet in 2014. The company initially collaborated with commercial aircraft manufacturing company Airbus in September 2017 but in December 2017 the collaboration was shifted to Lockhead Martin.
It will be a 12 passenger aircraft with approx. 8800 km range. The unit cost of this aircraft would be approx. 120 million USD.
The noise regulation coming in 2020 caused a major change in the design of this aircraft. Now, the engineers have added one more engine in the plane.
Flexjet company has already placed the 20 units order which are scheduled to be delivered in 2023.
