Introduction
Airbus introduced a twin-engine jet airliner with narrow body. It has two options.
- A320ceo - Current engine option.
- A320neo - New engine option.
This aircraft has range from 3100 kms to 12000 kms. This aircraft flew for the first time on February 22, 1987. Air France was the first airline to receive this aircraft in March 1988. A320neo the new engine option was announced in December 2010. Lufthansa was firs airline to get A320neo in January 2016.
Development
Airbus launched the program on March 2, 1984 and got 96 orders from world wide, however Air France was the first company to place the order and also the first one to get the delivery. Air France ordered 25 units of A320.

These breaks are used to slow down the speed of an airline by interrupting the aerodynamics of this aircraft.
Accidents
As on August 9, 2019 there are total 118 accidents have occurred for entire A320 family. The last accident that occurred was on December 23, 2019. There are total 35 hull loss accidents occurred in this family. Last hull loss accident was on May 19, 2016 it was an EgyptAir flight 804. Approximately 1392 people lost there lives in these accidents.
